MASTER 1 HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

A two-year professional training programme to train managers and experts in human resources

Open to both initial and continuing education and allowing sandwich courses, the master in Human Resources offers a training programme to acquire academic knowledge, professional skills and methodological tools in the field of Human Resources.

Rewarded as a “Master RH d’excellence” within the “Référence RH” network - www.reference-rh.org - , this master’s degree is connected with professional circles, and in particular with the National Association of HRDs ANDRH Lorraine - www.andrh.fr -, a partner of the Master's degree since its foundation.

The master focuses on the acquisition of fundamental knowledge in the first year and on the development of skills through role-playing in the second year.

This master is characterised by a rich associative life via the humanum association, integrated into the master's programme. Each year, it enables students to develop projects aimed at revitalising relations with Human Resources practitioners and former Master's graduates.

CONTINUING TRAINING: the training is open, depending on experience, to professionals wishing to strengthen and develop their knowledge or know-how.

 

OPPORTUNITIES

The master’s degree in human resources is a generalist course in Human Resources Management.

It allows graduates to boost their career and hold a position in Human Resources: Human Resources Director, Human Resources Manager, Training Manager, HR Development Manager, etc., but also to become experts: Human Resources Consultant, Training Consultant, Recruitment Consultant, HR Project Manager.

ORGANISATION AND OBJECTIVES

From the Master 1, the student can integrate a company or a professional organisation during his training thanks to professionalization arrangements: CFAI IUMM
                     -    The apprenticeship agreement, IAE Nancy is a partner of the CFAI Lorraine

                     -    The professionalization contract
                     -    An Internship

The first year is divided into two semesters comprising 250 hours of lectures and 220 hours of tutorials.

The IAE Nancy offers its students a local service called “PROFESSIONAL INSERTION AND INTERNSHIPS (I.P.S)” which guides them in their job search through an access to job offers on the career centre “JOBTEASER” and the setting up of personalised and individual workshops.

The classes take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week from September to June (except school holidays). Attendance at companies and/or host organisations is organised from Monday to Wednesday throughout the academic year (from October to the end of September).

 

Some weeks are devoted solely to classes (between 2 and 5 over the year), which are planned according to a calendar fixed in advance and available from the selection procedure.

 

ADMISSION AND APPLICATION

 

FORMATION INITIALE : admission based on an application file + interview for holders of a degree in Management, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Psychology or Sociology.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION: application + interview for working professionals or those covered by the Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP - law 1985) or the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).

Except for students enrolled in the first year of the Master. Students enrolled in the first year of the Master in Human Resources Management at the IAE Nancy and having validated their master’s degree are admitted to the second year.

For other candidates, the selection process is a competitive examination, which includes a written exam (eligibility) and an oral exam (admission), both associated with the examination of the applicant's file.

FORMATION INITIALE :

  • Holders of a Master 1 in Human Resources Management or a Master 2 in Law, Economics, sociology, Psychology
  • Graduates of a “Grande Ecole” or in their final year at the ICN Business Scool

CONTINUING EDUCATION: application + interview for working professionals or those covered by the Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP - law 1985) or the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
