A generalist Master's degree to train future company executives.

This Master offers initial or continuing education, in class or in distance learning (e-learning). The Master 2 in Business Administration enables students to acquire, in one or two years, dual skills in the fields of management and administration.

  • A state university diploma, Master 2, benefiting from a solid experience and a network of alumni for over 50 years.
  • A training course accessible with a diploma (Bac + 4 level) or a validation of professional experience (VAP), in initial training or continuing education.
  • A general management course covering the various fields of management, including a professional thesis.
  • A course that assures a professional experience, enhances human potential and increases the chances of promotion and professional development.
  • A course that also offers the specialisation "Applied Corporate Management", taught entirely in English.
  • A course to improve managerial skills for executives in companies.
  • A course in close collaboration with the PEEL (student entrepreneurship centre of Lorraine) to support business projects.
  • A programme open to foreign countries and participating in international Erasmus exchange programmes (possibility of spending a semester in one of the partner universities: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland, Poland and Canada).

The programme offers, for the classes in Nancy, 2 specialisations: one in French ("Management et Administration des Entreprises") and the other in English («Applied Corporate Management»)


Students can make their choice at the time of the recruitment exam.


Speaking English fluently is required to take the specialisation «Applied Corporate Management».

 An interview will determine which candidates are able to be part of this course.

 

PUBLIC

 

  • French or foreign students with a “Bac+4” level, Master 1 or equivalent in any field other than management (e.g. engineer, lawyer, pharmacist, doctor, scientist, architect, sociologist, psychologist, etc.)
  • Executives with a Bac +4 level or with a strong professional experience, wishing to improve, strengthen their knowledge or their managerial skills.

 

OPPORTUNITIES

The Master in Business Administration allows students to access positions of responsibility requiring dual skills or to train senior executives in the various management professions (Entrepreneurship, Management, HRM, Marketing, Audit/control, Organisation and Information Systems, etc.). Dual skills (in management, combined with another expertise) are main assets for the first job in initial training, and boost professionals’ career in continuing education.

 

ORGANISATION & OBJECTIVES

This generalist course, which includes the writing of a professional thesis, benefits from a solid experience and a network of former students for more than 50 years.


It is also open to other countries: within the framework of the Erasmus international exchange programmes, it offers the possibility of following a semester in one of the partner universities in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland and Poland.

 A course of more than 400 hours, over two semesters.

A semester-based and modular course consisting of 10 teaching units with credits.

Structure :

  • Initial training (IF): in 1 year (at the IAE Nancy - ARTEM site or in double degrees with the engineering schools of the University of Lorraine)
  • Continuing Education (CE): in 1 year (at the IAE Nancy - ARTEM site) or in 2 years (in Nancy or Luxembourg). In CE, the classes take place in Nancy over 2 days (in 2 years) or 3 days (in 1 year) per week in order to practice a professional activity: Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
  • Distance learning (EAD) in continuing education: in 2 years

 

ADMISSION AND APPLICATION

The board of examiners studies the application form and conducts interviews before making the final decision. The interview focuses on the candidate’s professional project and his motivation.

 

INITIAL TRAINING

Candidates with a “Bac+4” level (4 years of study after high-school graduation) in a field which is not related to Business and Management.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Application + interview for working professionals or those covered by the Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP - law 1985) or the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
