Associate laboratories

 

The university components are in fact backed by fundamental research and research that can be appropriated by companies. The development and valorization of research, open to multidisciplinarity, is done in collaboration with the support laboratories of IAE NANCY.

 

Logo CEREFIGE

CEREFIGE, European Centre for Research in Financial Economics and Business Management, is a Research Laboratory in Management Sciences and Finance of the University of Lorraine. It occurs on two sites, at the Lorraine Management Centre in Nancy and at the IAE Metz.

The CEREFIGE laboratory is the research unit to which all the Master's level courses offered at IAE NANCY are attached.

Recognized by the Ministry as a host team (n°3942), the laboratory is attached to the Doctoral School in Legal, Political, Economic and Management Sciences.

CEREFIGE is recognized, within its territory and environment, by all of its academic, institutional or economic partners.

BETA, Office for theoretical and applied Economics, is a joint Research Centre between the University of Strasbourg, the University of Lorraine and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

In 2013, it was the only University department in Economics and Management in the Great East region. Located on two sites, Nancy and Strasbourg (and more specifically in Metz and Mulhouse), it has a total surface area of 2,300 m².

The laboratory was created in 1972, and has been associated with the CNRS since 1985. It covers a wide range of activities, which includes both the fundamental aspects and the applications of research in Economics and Management.

François Gény Institute

François Gény Institute is the Research Laboratory for Private Law and Legal History. It gathers about 130 researchers (professors, lecturers, doctors, doctoral students) with various fields of specialisation (from civil law to labour law, from business law to criminal law, including intellectual property law, consumer law and legal history) and develops a fundamental approach in and about law.  The laboratory is composed by teams of significant size, in the major sectors of private law and legal history. These teams develop their own projects and the laboratory conducts a research policy that overcomes disciplines within private law and legal history, of course, but also beyond law.

Labo 2L2S

Lorraine Laboratory of Social Sciences

2L2S brings together the Research Team for Anthropology and Sociology (ERASE), based in Metz, the Research Group for Education and Employment (GREE) and the Laboratory of Urban Sociology (LASURES) based in Nancy. The core of the team was formed in 1995; its quantitative growth has been accompanied by a diversification and a strengthening of the scientific consistency of the research work. The laboratory has been recognised by the Ministry as a host team (EA 3478) since 2005.

Research laboratory in public law and political science

The IRENE was created in 1997 as a federative research structure, before becoming, in 2005, the public law and political science Research Unit of the University of Nancy and then of the University of Lorraine (1st January, 2012). IRENE now brings together all the teacher-researchers and doctoral students in public law and political science of the University's six components/departments.

Ergonomic and Social Psychology for User Experience

PErSEUs (Ergonomic and Social Psychology for User Experience EA 7312) is an interdisciplinary team (Ergonomics, Ergonomic Psychology, Social Psychology, Computer Science) which is interested in the user experience.

The objectives are to understand the determinants of this experience from the point of view of social and ergonomic psychology, and to develop methods for the design and evaluation of digital and work environments that generate positive user experiences. The research is therefore theoretical in nature, aiming at a better understanding of human behavior in interaction with digital technologies and mediated by the latter, and methodological, aiming at both the development of tools for the collection and analysis of interactive behavior, and the development of methods and tools for the evaluation and ergonomic design of digital technologies.

Labo Perseus

Mediation Research Center

Crem has a staff of 200, including 80 tenured teacher-researchers, more than 90 doctoral students, about 20 associate researchers and 7 support staff. Its researchers come mainly from the University of Lorraine, but also from other French and foreign universities.

CREM is a member of the scientific pole Knowledge, Language, Communication, Society (CLCS) of the University of Lorraine and of the doctoral school Humanités Nouvelles-Fernand Braudel. It is also a partner of the Maison des sciences de l'homme Lorraine. Its researchers belong to 11 disciplines: nearly 90% to information and communication sciences, language sciences, French language and literature studies, and art sciences; and about 10% to English and Anglo-Saxon, Arabic, Germanic and Romance languages and literature studies, anthropology, psychology and sociology.
