In a rapidly evolving sector, the Master 1 Sector Management enables future managers of establishments in health, social and medico-social sectors and integration organisations through economic activity to acquire solid skills in management before specialising.

 

PUBLIC

 

  • Initial or continuing education students with a Bachelor's degree, whatever the speciality.
  • Professionals with professional experience wishing to strengthen and to develop their knowledge or know-how in the context of a continuing education.

 

The Master 1 is offered in Distance Learning - E-learning over 2 years.

 

OPPORTUNITIES

The Master 1 “Sector Management” constitutes the core curriculum of management jobs in this professional field.

The two specialities covered by the Master 2 programmes lead to:

- Management positions in hospitals, medico-social and social establishments.
- Management positions in integration organisations through economic activity and establishments whose purpose is to guide and integrate jobseekers.

 

ORGANISATION AND OBJECTIVES

The Master 1 is organised around the acquisition of a common set of skills before the continuation of a year of specialisation.
 
The Master 1 is also offered as a distance learning course over two years: the first year corresponds to the first semester and the second year to the second semester.
 
Two specialisations are offered as part of the Master 2:

- MOSSS Sector Management - Management of Health and Social Establishments (MOSS)
- MOSSS Sector Management - Management of Integration Organisations (MOI)

Whatever its speciality, the Master 2 is characterised by the sharing of experience and information between initial training students and professionals from various backgrounds in continuing education. 

 

ADMISSION AND APPLICATION

INITIAL TRAINING

 

  • Holding a bachelor's degree
  • Selection on the basis of applications (eligibility) then on the basis of an interview (admission)
  • Capacity: 30 students

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

  • Holding a bachelor's degree
  • If not : application + interview for working professionals or those covered by the Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP - law 1985) or the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).

MASTER 2 MANAGEMENT OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH ESTABLISHMENTS

 A professionalising training to prepare for management functions in the health and social sector

The master offers courses dealing with current management issues in hospitals, social and medico-social establishments. These master courses enable students to effectively prepare for a career in these professions, to complete their know-how or to prepare for competitive examinations in the health and social sector.

 

PUBLIC

  • Students holding a Master 1 in the health and social field.
  • Professionals with a “Bac +4” level or with at least 3 years of professional experience with responsibilities in the health and social sector, wishing to strengthen and develop their knowledge or know-how within the framework of a continuing education.

 

OPPORTUNITIES

The Masters 2 in Sector Management MOSSS - Management of Health and Social Establishment offers opportunities in management professions within hospitals, medico-social and social establishments with positions as director of an establishment, hospital executive, administrative attaché, head of department or even director of a social centre.

 

ORGANISATION & OBJECTIFS

During the Master 2, the student can integrate a company or a professional organisation during his training thanks to professionalization arrangements:

                  - The apprenticeship agreement, IAE Nancy is a partner of the CFA of the University of LorraineCFAUL
                  - The professionalization contract
                  - An Internship
                  - A civic service

The teaching programme is organised according to the following general scheme:

  • An introduction aimed at understanding the problems and issues of management in the fields of action in question;
  • A first approach focused on strategy and management tools (audit, internal
  • A second approach focused on change management, project management and the mobilisation of human resources;
  • More specific in-depth studies and a feedback of the concrete problems of redeployment of activities or changes in the sectors in question (in particular through case studies)
  • Introduction to research, writing, and defending of a professional thesis.

The programme and content of the courses meet the demands of the professional networks, which were largely involved in the construction of the curriculum. Professionals from the various health and social sectors teach more than half of the classes.

 

ADMISSION AND APPLICATION

INITIAL TRAINING

  • Holding the M1 MOSSS or an equivalent training in the health and social field
  • For students holding the M1 MOSSS from the IAE Nancy: automatic admission. The specialisation in Master 2 will be determined on the basis of the student's file.
  • Selection on the basis of applications (eligibility) and interview (admission) for other candidates
  • Capacity in Master 2: 26 students in M2

CONTINUING EDUCATION

  • Holding a Master 1 MOSSS or an equivalent (Bac +4 level) in the health and social field
  • If not : application + interview for working professionals or those covered by the Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP - law 1985) or the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in management in the health and social sector is required.
